But it makes me even more excited when a local brand steps up to the competition and delivers with quality and consistency. In my previous blog post, I shared a little something about how Silka successfully hit a promising number of 15 years in the industry. As promised I’m sharing my two cents on the new variants and scents they introduced in their recent Silkamazing @ 15 launch.
I love how the lotions are already infused with Sun Protection Factor or SPF 23! Sun block application is essential all year ‘round, whether you’re indoors or out! Your skin will thank you for your discipline in the long run. It’s great how the consistency isn’t sticky, and has just the right silky smooth feel on the skin. The brand really speaks for itself! Silky smooth with Silka! Haha
Both lotions and soaps have whitening qualities. Results can be seen as early as 7 days with daily use of the lotions. While the soaps can deliver results as early as 14 days with daily use as well. So if you’re keen on achieving a fairer complexion with no downtime, then by all means… go for the whole package!
The Shea Butter lotion aims to nourish, moisturize and soothe the skin especially when irritated and dry. The Shea Butter Soap not only whitens, but also produces a creamy lather in a relaxing and luscious mild butter scent. Meanwhile the Avocado Oil and Milk Protein lotion aims to offer deep hydration as it revitalizes and repairs dry, dehydrated skin. Its moisturizing milk soap also whitens, smoothens, and hydrates, as it’s formulated with avocado oil and almond milk.
The lotions come in 3 different sizes at 50ml, 100ml, and 200ml. And the soap well comes in a standard soap size but the pastel colors are too cute! I especially love how handy the 50ml bottles are. I for one, being the girl scout that I am, always bring travel sized essentials wherever I go! Lotion is no exception, and I carry around in my purse my favorite scent of the season depending on my mood. Just writing about these new variants make me wanna drop everything, take a shower and just lather myself with them! Do you have any favorites from Silka? These would have to be mine! If you haven’t tried them yet, they’re available in all major stores and supermarkets nationwide. It’s a bonus that it’s affordable and also has a more premium packaging!
